ZFS or UFS question

Hello.
I have freenas server:
  • Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8200 @ 2.66GHz
  • 4065MB RAM
  • FreeNAS-9.2.1.5-RELEASE-x64 (80c1d35)
  • 1 HDD 320 gb IDE
  • 1 HDD 600 gb SATA II.
2 HDD in ZFS pool. I want buy 2 TB hdd sata III. What better: 2 tb + 920 gb in ZFS pool or UFS? For plex media server and transmission.

UFS is deprecated and will not be available in 9.2.2.

Also, please read the stickies regarding minimum hardware requirements.

If you read the documentation as Ericloewe pointed out, you'd know that ZFS on FreeNAS needs a minimum of 8gb of RAM. You currently have 1/2 of that and you want to add additional storage.

Frankly, you'd be better off replacing your hardware with a new motherboard, CPU, and RAM that supports ECC. See the sticky - So you want some hardware suggestions
