Been running Freenas 7 on an old Del 1600 for some time - it has been replaced and I thought I would test 8.0.1b4 ON THE BOX.
Hardware - standard 1600SC but tried with a variety of Rocketraid & adaptec sata cards (all of which worked ok with freenas 7), tried all options of turning bios options on or off but still no change in the error. All cards and disks are clearly identified in the console messages - as is all hardware that I expect to see.
I get as far as mfo loadinf pre-built image, then the waiting 60 sec for xpt_config and then waiting 120 secs for xpt_config - then it says unable to load cdrom - but it is looking inn /dev/da1 /dev/da2 /dev/da3 and this continues forever.
Any clues on what else to try changing?
