hi
i bought 1U Supermicro with X9SCL-F Intel Xeon E3-1220 8GB to keep as VM backup server for 4 host proxmox cluster.
the server has 6 sata ports onboard from which 4 (0-1) are connected to the 4 bay hd backplane. when i connect a ssd to one of the two remaining ports the HD gets recognized by the BIOS but i can't select is as a boot device. It only allows me to select one of the drives hooked up to the backplane, but i'd like to use the 4 bay for JBOD zfs config. anyone know if there's some workaround for it or is usb boot my only option ?
thanks
