Hi there i am having trouble with True nas scale and setting up share for windows access, would any 1 be willing to remote in and take a look to see what i may have done wrong please

Hello Kris,
I have problems with my work account. Because it is an Azure Active Directory user it does not work. Standard settings and ACL.
Any ideas on how to overcome this issue? The use is an email address, and the user in truenas does not allow emails as users.

I forgot to mention, I have a Mac Mini and it works fine.

The AD user account may have a UPN in the shape of an email address, but it will also have an alias and a SAMAccountName which will not be an email address... samaccountname would be the standard one to try.
