Will these products match together?

Hello, since i only find english information of the products i own, i hope you can answer my question.

I own this mainboard: Intel® Server-Mainboard S3420GP ATX Sockel.

And this cpu: Intel® Core™ i5-660 Processor
(4M Cache, 3.33 GHz)

Will this work?
If not, would you rather buy a matching cpu to the mainboard or a matching mainboard for this processor.

What ram i need?

Sorry for asking these simple questions. But im not aware of these products. I own a simple gaming pc but i dont have that much knowledge of the technology further then the products i have.

The big question here is: Do you want to have some support from the folks that participate in this forum? If so, go with @m0nkey_ linked in the above post.

Don't take me wrong. I don't run any of the recommended hardware because I didn't know better.

This motherboard is an 1156 socket, so get an 1156 CPU that supports ECC and you should be OK
CPUs like the L3426, or the x3430/40/50/60 should be fine.
You should also get ECC Ram - I think this motherboard supports up to 16GB (4x4GB) UDIMMS or RDIMMS
It is an old system, and will consume more power than the newer stuff, but I believe it is acceptable
