Hi All
I have a backup server that will wake up every night at midnight and run replication tasks. I also have scrub and SMART tests scheduled to run on a schedule.
I hope to have some script that will run that shuts the system down when it's idle but I would also like to shut down the system at 5 AM when power becomes more expensive for me.
Obviously some of these tasks are going to take a lot longer than 5 hours. I assume that if I shutdown mid scrub / mid smart test then when I reboot it won't just pick up where it left off? I'll have to leave the server on for however many hours or days it takes to complete the jobs?
Thanks
