Can someone help me with this question? I've been googling and couldn't find a straight answer.

Thanks.

TrueNAS 12.0 uses FreeBSD 12-STABLE branch, which was cut shortly before 12.2-RELEASE went out on the FreeBSD side. 12.0-u1 next week updates to 12.2-RELEASE + our local patches / backported fixes from 13-CURRENT.

It's pretty simple to find for any version of FreeNAS. Just enter these commands at the CLI:
freebsd-version
uname -a
