Hi, i just saw the new version of freenas 8 and there's no transmission client, what the... I use freenas as a seedbox and I dont want to upgrade to 8 because of that!!! any advice?

It's planned for the next version.

with the planned plugin system for the next version, I'm sure torrent and binary download tools will be some of the first to arrive. And if I understood it right, the ones already created for the base system will work as well, so there might even be just those already.

I'm also waiting for a torrent tool, but for now I still use my old qnap's download tool.

You can install transmission using pkg_add option ;)
