Western Digital SAS drives from Cisco

Hi there, I'm looking at picking up some used Western Digital (HGST) drives off fleabay to install in my PowerEdge R720xd. The drives were pulled from a Cisco environment (assuming it's UCS but not really sure - doesn't say) and wondering if anyone knows if Cisco flashes their drives with a proprietary firmware that locks them to Cisco hardware only? Thanks in advance!
