weird log entry in messages

Hi all;

I've got an entry that show's up every few minutes:

Feb 27 12:22:28 nas init: can't exec getty '/usr/local/sbin/zfsd' for port /dev/zfsd: No such file or directory

Can someone say if I should worry about that?

Same problem since the update FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201502270750. About every 30 seconds it pops up: can't exec getty '/usr/local/sbin/zfsd' for port /dev/zfsd: No such file or directory.

I am getting the same messages on both of my FreeNAS installs. They begin to show as soon as I upgraded them this morning, less than an hour ago.

This issue has its own separate bug report now at https://bugs.freenas.org/issues/8233

https://bugs.freenas.org/issues/8232 mentioned it but seemed to be more about a Directory Services issue.

I have just upgraded to FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201502270750 and the error is still unresolved.

# cd /usr/local/sbin
# ln -s /sbin/zfsd
# ls -lrt zfsd
lrwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 10 Feb 27 15:50 zfsd@ -> /sbin/zfsd

Having reverted to a previous boot environment, I note the changelog for this update is now stating:

"#8221 Feature Normal Actually enable zfsd in /etc/ttys!"

This is still the FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201502270750 update though. The release time has not been updated so I'm a little hesitant to upgrade.
