Jira Ticket: NAS-110481

I'm running TrueNAS SCALE 21.04 that I updated from 21.02 when it came out. This issues seems to have just started in the last few hours. Right now my webgui still "works" but whenever I try to make a change or do anything it freezes and just spins forever. I have tested this on the latest Chrome and Firefox.

With the webgui frozen, how can I dump the debug info from command line?

I think I need to reboot the machine but I have several XCP-ng VMs remotely running on it plus some CIFS/NFS datasets that are being used by the those VMs so it's hard to just migrate them to local storage temporarily.

Here is what I grabbed from DMESG that shows some issues.

It would be good to get background info:

What version of software? Did this happen after upgrade?
Is it the same from multiple browsers?

@morganL you are absolutely right, I had a baby on my lap and was in a rush. Sorry about leaving out details, updating the first post.

@cyrus104 You should file a Jira ticket and/or report this to the OpenZFS Github ;-)

I don't think we've had any similar reports. (please chime in if any one else has seen this)

I'd recommend that reboot be done 1st and check that hardware is in a good state (Is it ECC RAM?).

Because my nfs shares are still working, no errors from the hosted vms I have put off rebooting so far.
This system does have 128gb of ddr4 ecc memory.

Its reasonable for you to keep going. However, its only after reboot that we would know if the problem is reproducable. Perhaps just lets us know after the next reboot.. whenever it is. If anyone else experiences the same problem, they might read this. However, I would recommend the thread title be changed to something more specific like:

"Frozen WebUI and io_wqe_worker blocked"

I have more info on the Jira ticket but after something finished... the webui seems to be working fairly normal. I was able to get it to complete a debug download. I'm happy to change the name.. I was hoping for one I'd understand. ;-)
