Warnings/errors not mailed

Hi,

I have configured our TrueNAS Scale system, to be a hardened repository for Veeam.
According to this post.

the problem is that it is not sending mails for warnings/errors. Although it is configured for it.
When I click 'send testmail', the testmail arrives instantaneously.

What could be wrong?

Your alert settings?

Click the Alerts Bell in the top right, then the Cogwheel and select Alert Settings

Check for the category where you're expecting alerts and ensure that the right Warning level is chosen for it.

Already did this.
Just changed smtp security from 'plain' to 'starttls' and I received my first warning via mail.

I think I figured it out : Part of the hardening of the TrueNAS scale issystem (see link above) is stopping the nginx webserver.
Could it be that because nginx is stopped, the mails are not being sent?
