Was playing with adding second controller and using some 80GB drives. "Volume Status" looks like:
--RAID-Z2_0
----raidz2
------ada4p2
------ada5p2
------ada6p2
------ada7p2
----raidz2
------ada3p2
------ada2p2
------ada1p2
------ada0p2

1. How can I rename one of the 'raidz2' pools? I think they are pools.
2. Once renamed how to remove/delete it from the volume? I want to get my existing (prior) set of 2TB drives healthy again and by themselves.

Note - the NAS has not been used to store anything during this play time. SSH setup and command line is available.

Thanks, Scott

Your zpool is titled "RAID-Z2_0". There is only 1 zpool. There are 2 vdevs, one that contains ada0,1,2,3 and one that contains ada4,5,6,7. You cannot remove either vdev without losing all data in your pool.

So to answer your questions:

1. You could rename your RAID_Z2_0 pool.
2. You can't remove or delete anything at this point without losing redunancy or your entire pool.

Please see my guide in the sig. It will clarify things for you. :)

@noobsauce80, thanks for clarifing the setup and situation. I will leave it as is and work on upgrading/replacing the drives in the current 80GB vdev set and getting it to match the existing 2TB vdev set. That was always my end goal. Guide PDF already downloaded for current and future reference. Thanks, Scott
