Really noob
need help with creating a volume that does not have errors. using
Hostname: freenas.local
OS Version: FreeBSD 8.2-RELEASE-p1
Platform: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz
System Time: Thu Aug 25 19:12:37 PDT 2011
Uptime: 7:12PM up 1 day, 23:28, 0 users
Load Average: 0.01, 0.02, 0.00
FreeNAS Build: FreeNAS-8.0-RELEASE-i386
can create volume but have errors for all space displays (Error getting used space (Error) )
Change permissions gives error
disks are EIDE from old systems and external drives.
Searches indicate may be problem with old partitions and formatting.
Any suggestions for a utility to wipe them clean enough for FreeBSD?
Any other suggestions would be welcome
