The process would be to view the pool status for the degraded mirror pool, then on the disk that's unavailable, replace it...

For future reference (but forget it now):

Import a disk is to be used for a non-ZFS disk to bring its contents into a ZFS pool.

Add a disk (I'm not really sure this is even a thing) will add an additional VDEV to your pool... CAUTION... adding a single drive as a VDEV to an existing pool will make that pool vulnerable to complete loss with the failure of that disk.

In the version of FreeNAS you have, you can't remove drives from a pool once added.
