Hello,
I have a amd fx83xx series CPU running TrueNas with a zf2 configuration. I am attempting to use virtual machines, but I am unable to install the machine.
The VM launches just fine, the problem comes when the guest OS tries to "write" to the media I am using.
Using Ubuntu I can not even launch the installer. Initramfs gives an error saying that it cannot write to disk.
Kubuntu will launch the installer and everything works well except for when I get to the page to select which disk to install to.
It will show there is a disk with the correct disk space but shows 1 byte available for formatting on the drive.
Virutalizations options are enabled in the BIOS and I have no problems writing to the disk with file transfers or using jails.
So my questions are as follows
Is my CPU not compatible with the virtualization that Truenas uses?
Am I having a permissions issue?
Am I screwed due to my CPU or mobo(cheap biostar)
Thanks in advance for any answers,
