virtualbox + zfs jail snapshot

Hi,
i have one question, maybe someone know answer (freenas v9.2.1.9 x64, 24G ram, XEON cpu).
Can ZFS snapshot of virtualbox jail cause freezing windows virtual machine (windows task mgr show before freeze 100% disk usage)?

I tryed set storage controller of virtual machine to SATA, SAS with no luck. Also try IO cache on/off.

I had a few VMs set up in phpVirtualBox but they often hang / crash. I just realised I had snapshots set up for both the /zstore/jails dataset along with datasets that are 'mounted' in the running VM.

Not sure if running ZFS snapshots on a dataset while they are mounted in a VM causes any issues.

Do you have the virtual storage controllers set to "Use host I/O cache"?

Yes, by default VBox enables host caching on IDE controllers - however my drives are on SATA controllers with host cache disabled.

I suggest enabling Host I/O caching on your virtual SATA controllers.

Hi, for now i dont use ZFS snapshot. I decide to use rsync for backup to second server.
