"View Disks" shows a blank screen

Noob to 8.x

Both a 8.3 and an 8.2 x64 show a blank screen for "View Disks"

Also "smartctl --scan" displays nothing.

Have Intel PCs with SATA and PATA drives attached.

They may be Intel PCs, but are they Intel controllers? Also, are the in AHCI mode like the manual recommends? If both of those are yes I don't know what to tell you. Have you tried to create a zpool? I can't check this but maybe the GUI won't display disks until a zpool is created.

Are your disks listed in /dev?

Yes the are in /dev and I even have them mounted with UFS.

So...I've "fixed" this problem. This seems to be related to something on the browser end of things. From Windows 7 Pro with IE, the "View Disks" shows no disks. From Windows 7 Pro (different PC) Chrome, things are fine.
