Using FreeNAS on Dell T300

I have tried several times installing FreeNAS on a Dell PowerEdge T300. Using a PNY 8GB USB flash drive. Have tried Flash emulation mode of auto, floppy and hard disk all to no avail. I have made sure that the USB drive is first on the boot list. I have even gone through the boot menu option and forced the USB to be used. Still no luck.

The install runs without any errors that I see on the screen. I have tried both USB ports on the front of the server.

Suggestions ?

Try booting the USB flash drive in another computer - just to ensure that it's booting okay. If not, you might try a new flash drive this time.

Look at the documentation in your T300 manual.

In your server, check to make sure the USB ports are enabled. It looks like you also have the ability to put your USB flash drive inside the case, on the motherboard.
