Hi,

we have been using FreeNAS 7.2 for our standard services and we also use SUN Storage systems for our HA services.

The Sun Storage systems use /export as the root NFS export directory. We are not able to freely define the export root there since it is an appliance.
Also SUN as the inventor of NFS itself defines /export as the top level export in their OS.

With NFSv4 and the pseudo root (fsid=0) we are even further forced to only export from one directory downwards.

And here our problem:
We changed the mountpoint of the ZFS Pool in FreeNAS7 to /export and also exported from there using NFS.
In FreeNAS8 it is fixed to /mnt/<poolname> and also on the NFS we are forced to use /mnt as the starting point.

Are we able to change this to /export again as in FreeNAS 7?

Best regards
Rainer
