User Access Rights

Hi,
I am new to Freenas an have just installed v8.
I need to set up 2 accounts for access. I want one generic account that has read access only for approx 6-7 different machines/users to access with password authentication and one that has read/write acces.
How would I go about this please? Any ideas?

access from where? windows? *nix? standalone? active directory?

first thing is to set up 2 groups or 2 users.
then create your datasets with the appropriate permissions.
