Hi!

I use an HDD like boot disk.
This HDD has 80 GB of capacity.
But I would like to buy an SSD with 120 GB and I want to partition it, 20 GB for FreeNAS OS and 100 GB for data.

I didn't find any thread about this.
So I how can I do this?
File System to use? MBR or GUID?

Thanks!

Why? Yes, it's possible, as the thread @Redcoat links to indicates, but this really isn't the way FreeNAS is designed to operate. Use the SSD for boot, put your data on your data disks.

Ok thanks, everyone.

It's too hard for me and not recommended, so I forget this idea.

What type of device do you use for the FreeNAS OS? USB, HDD, SSD? And what capacity?
