I have a Cisco 2u server that I was wondering if I put FREE NAS on it will I be able to access USB connected devices that are connected to the server
as part of the storage?

FreeNAS will let you see USB drives. You can put ZFS file system on a USB drive in FreeNAS.

good for things like a backup. Not desirable to run an array on.
