Upgrading to multimedia version

Hi everyone,
I currently have freenas 8.0.4 Release version running on my NAS and I was wondering if there was a way to use the gui upgrade tool
to switch to the multimedia version, instead of doing a full new installation.

Yup, shouldn't be any problem, just like a regular upgrade. Just grab the GUI upgrade version of 8.0.4 Multimedia & checksum, go to the settings page -> Advanced, and click on the Firmware Update button at the bottom of the page. If you haven't done it before, it can take 10-15 minutes to flash depending on your system so be patient.
