hello,

I have one 500GB drive that I just use for storing films and TV shows for PLEX, I am close to filling up the drive so i need to replace it with a new one, i have a spare 1TB drive that I'm going to use...

I took the 500GB PLEX drive a of the server and cloned it using clonezilla,

my problem is it cloned the 2 partitions on the original drive over, but now i have 498GB of unallocated space... and i can't resize the main partition into the available space, i have tried using gpart to resize but no luck, does anyone have a solution for this, or is there an easier way to upgrade a hard drive

thanks,

1) you shouldn't run FreeNAS with a single disk. I'd do a mirror as minimum.
2) don't use clonezilla to copy your FreeNAS data drives. Add drives, create new zpool, copy files.
