The system installed the new firmware and rebooted. Once that happened the wed UI was no longer accessible.
The drives are offline, Plex cannot connect to the server, ownCLoud cannot connect to the server and so on. My router however still indicates the static IPs assigned for the various services as well as the FreeNAS IP, are connected.

I don'd have video on the system so I haven't checked it locally. I'll have to remove a card from a desktop for that.

I'm wondering if during the upgrade, the config was lost? Yes I did back it up prior to this upgrade.

I'm unable to connect to any of these, 192.168.1. 2 -10 are FreeNAS services. FreeNAS is in 192.169.1.158

Is FreeNAS a static address on your router? Did the router give FreeNAS a new a address after the reboot?

It looks like FreeNAS did indeed give itself a new address. Since my system does not have video, I had to borrow a card from another desktop, I got that going now.

So here's what it looks like now:

So I went ahead and configured the new changes on the router, including forwarding the port. Yes I did have the previous address static. I made 192.168.1.254 static now. But I'm still not able to connect to the web UI. Checking the network, it does not look like the server is even online, there is no devices connected using that address.

EDIT: is it possible to revert back, I think that might be easier then troubleshooting. I didn't find the specific steps in the manual though.
Is is possible to load the image onto the USB boot drive, then load the settings then load the volume (or maybe it's volume then settings)?

So I removed the boot drive and mounted the latest firmware on it. Booted fine and I connected to the Web UI. Then I uploaded the old config and now I can't connect again

Obviously it was working before the update, so what happened?
I'm going to work, will try the same steps again later but with the previous firmware.

What was your previous version # with the saved config? If you came from 8.x it may not be compatible with 9.2.x, just a thought.

Just a reminder, when you restore the saved config you are resetting the server IP and the router will no longer be pointing to it (unless you change that back too). I know that doesn't solve your problem but it's something to keep in mind.

Anyone know where I can get 9.2.1.2?

At this point I'll try anything. I guess my data is intact, it's just I'm not able to load my previous configuration without losing connection to the network. I have no clue why this would happen.

In Win I run the arp -a command and it shows the server on the network. Then I upload the previous config, I don't understand it.

Alright I got it running. I dished out a previous config file from the trash bin (about a moth old or so). Loaded that to the latest release and I got everything back.

Still wondering why this new config file caused issues.
