I just updated both owncloud and couchpotato from the plugins tab and when I get to the web interface both plugins had to be reconfigured like they where fresh installs.
It dose this with any plugin I update.
Is there something wrong in the settings or some way I can backup the config files or is this normal?

Thank you

with CP it's probably because I moved the data directory from /usr/pbi/couchpotato-amd64/etc/couchpotato to /var/db/couchpotato.
this shouldn't be an issue with future updates or other plugins.

not sure why owncloud reset itself, but I recommend using a non-default datadirectory on a mounted zfs dataset. I detail how to do this on "How-To>Jails"

i don't have a couchpotato directory at /usr/pbi/couchpotato-amd64/etc/
Dose that mean my old config is gone?

And with owncloud I had it setup the way you suggested and everything was fine after I readded the users. Thankfully I don't have a lot of users.

I can't find any couchpotato unter share... /etc/
config is not the problem, but I would like to have the log files or the wanted list!

you looked in /usr/pbi/couchpotato-amd64/etc/couchpotato ?
log should be in plain text, but I think the wanted list will be part of the database (sql) file.
