Update to Madsonic Server?

Hello all i am a huge fan of Madsonic and noticed the latest plugin for FreeNAS 11 was

Server 6.1.8700 15/09/2016

i was looking and noticed the latest and greatest right now is

Server 6.3.9560 12/07/2017

Are there any plans for an update to the plugin?

If not what do you think would be the easiest way instead of using plugins to get the latest and greatest Madsonic on my FreeNAS 11.

Right now the FreeBSD port, which is what FreeNAS uses, is at 6.1.8700.
