Update multiple apps at one time

It really is tiring going in and looking for all apps that are updated, then selecting each one and updating, having to wait till it's complete and then repeating over and over.

I understand "update all" might not be desired, but since there is already a selection box for apps, cannot "update selected apps" be an option? Am I missing something?

Updating an App is interactive in that you have to choose which update you want to apply.

I guess I forgot about that extra step. I guess in the year I've been doing scale I've never done anything but update the app to the latest version. Maybe others are doing other things, but it would be a big time saver to just have a way to do that which I would guess is 99% use case. Clicking on the box that's already available for mass selection and then updating to latest version would be a huge time saver for me. But apparently there's no way currently to do that.

If you're using truecharts apps theres the truetool option to bulk update apps.

Totally agree with Ppriorfl, that functionality should be baked into the the GUI. I never had a need to upgrade to anything other than the latest version. If I need to go to a specific version then I can manually launch the manual update. But out of the box there should be a button to update the applications I select to latest version.

Heavyscript is another option.

Allows you to choose how many apps to update at one time, and has multiple other features.
Of course, this is not official though, but has multiple users, and I've never received a complaint... That hasn't been fixed a while ago anyway.

yeah but that's just bulk updating, we are looking for a way to automate the updating of those apps instead of manually having to do it.

with heavy script and truetool you can set them up with a cronjob.
