I've updated 5 systems with 11.1U5 & noted the following:

On 4, it seems S.M.A.R.T. config check interval default changed from 30 to 2880. 1 unchanged @ 30.

On 1, log reports "Unable to register device /dev/da0 (no Directive -d removable). Exiting." & get an amber warning. Control service attempt to start SMART fails.

In all cases, drives are 2TB NAS (Seagate/WD mix)

Comments/suggestions welcome.

Thanks! I thought it odd that this appeared in U5 & was intermittent. Also, note the default interval change is unexpected.

HI
I am quite inexperienced still and got the SMART warning after upgrading to version U5.
What do I need to do? set SMART off for all my disks until the next upgrade or leave them SMART on and ignore the warning?
Thanks for your info

Using the work-around from other threads, I changed the USB boot drive properties (Storage > View Disks > select disk with warning (in my case da0) > Edit to turn off SMART) & SMART service restarted. Some folks seem to need a reboot. Hope this helps. YMMV.
