Curious what you all think about the following motherboard. I've not heard of Tyan before and a search of the forum brought up limited hits. Besides the limited memory due to the form factor (16 GB mITX) and no built in LSI card, the board looks pretty decent for an mITX build. Thoughts?

I believe Asrock has a similar product that will take 4 DIMMs

Tyan isn't a "bad" brand. They were very popular 10 years ago. I know the last Tyan I saw (which was about 5 years ago) had major quirks with it and as Tyan hasn't really provided motherboards to the FreeNAS community nor has anyone spent their money to find out how good/bad the products are there's only one way to find out.... buy it.

But to be honest that board takes only 2 DIMMs so I wouldn't really spend any more time looking at it when 4-DIMM solutions exist.
