Is this where you post about issues with TrueNAS 12 nightly builds?
I've been trying out some of the nightly builds and found an issue with SMB shares.
They seemed to work as expected in this build: TrueNAS-12.0-MASTER-202004071325-c5d959a.iso
But if I build a new server with TrueNAS-12.0-MASTER-202004160426-e4cfa2298.iso, and follow the same steps to share a dataset i can't write to the share.
I also built a 11.3 server with share as below, upgraded to TrueNAS and I couldn't write to it any more.
Steps i'm using to create share
- create group family
- create user tom, too to group family
- create new pool of 3 disks called tank
- create data set in 'tank' pool called data, with type SMB
- enable SMB service, set to start automatically
- create SMB share, point to 'data' dataset above, don't change any settings
- edit ACL on 'data' dataset, set left hand side infomation to:
path: /mnt/tank/data
user: tom
group: family
- from a Windows computer connect to TrueNAS server as 'tom' and open 'data' share.
- on the build from the 7th i have write permissions, on the build from the 16th I don't.
