I have tried out both FreeNAS .7 (latest) and FreeNAS 8.0.3.
The new shining UI is much more intuitive, however I miss a lot of functions there provided in .7
So there is no page about the current S.M.A.R.T state of the HD's and much more options to manage disks (add, remove, format, attach as spare or cache etc.)
also a lot of admin tools are missing.
I have configured my USV via usb-port, is there a way to read the status of the batteries - and to configure nut as server for other machines on the network?
Maybe this is a bug, but I cannot configure e-mail notifications (get error messages when trying to send test mail) for smtp server with ssl encryption.
In Windows you can configure share permissions (Users, Groups) independently of the user rights on the file system. Is there a way to do the same in the UI?
