syslog client capture tuning

Hi.
Currently running FreeNAS-9.1.1-RELEASE-x64 (a752d35)
I'm sending FreeNAS syslog out put to an external syslog server. The default includes some verbosity I'd like to reduce, such as user facility at log level debug, and appears not to be easily tunable. What's the best method to manage this which survives reboots?

Is the verbosity associated with a specific service? If so, it would be worth creating a feature request to add it to that service's options, similar to the SSH configuration screen. Alternately, if you'd like an overall GUI knob for setting syslog facility/level, that would be a different feature request.
