Hi,

Anybody having experience with a system based on this:

I like it's 3.5" drives and lots of them, on a LSI 3008 controller.

To buy a system like this you need to buy a "SIOM" module, where one option is an Intel dualport SFP+ ( AOC-MTGN-i2S ) based on 82599ES - anyone know how stable this card is now? Found some rather old reports of workarounds, but nothing recent.
The NIC I had in mind before seeing the SIOM demand was the Chelsio T6225-CR

I had an option to go with a XL710 based card instead at the same price and looking through the forums it looks like it might be a better choice than 82599ES (correct me if I'm wrong)
