I purchased a supermicro case CSE-836BE16-R920B along with a motherboard (X11SSH-F) and a LSI-9201-16i HBA back in 2017. We could never get the drive speed above 30 meg per second and we could not send the case back. So we just replace the case with a CSE-836BA-R920B (used same MB and HBA) and all worked as expected - using Centos 7.
We now want to build a True Nas box for cold storage and would LIKE to use the CSE-836BE16-R920B. Does anyone have any suggestions on why we had trouble this slow performance??
