Suggestions of hardware to replace my current QNAP system

I’m currently running a QNAP TVS-1282T (8x3.5 and 4x2.5) with 2 x TX-800P Expansion modules (8x3.5 each)

I’m looking at refreshing as the unit is getting a bit old and throwing the odd hardware glitch, plus I’m fed up with QNAPs useless security (I only just managed to dodge a bad ransomware attack), but as i have such a large system and dont have space for a rack mounted unit I’m struggling to find equivalent desktop style chassis and how to interconnect them to provide the same amount of bays

Can anyone suggest some appropriate hardware that i could use

In case you didn't know and haven't considered it, many/most QNAP units let you run TrueNAS Scale on them.

Yeah unfortunately with the hardware failing that isnt a wise choice
