I am looking to upgrade my storage. Was poking around on serverpartdeals.com and I feel like a good value would be Western Digital Ultrastar DC HC530 WUH721414ALN6L4 0F31278 14TB 7.2K RPM SATA 6Gb/s 4Kn 3.5in Recertified Hard Drive. I am planning to purchase 7 of these using 6 in a RAIDZ2 and keeping the 7th as my data transfer drive during the upgrade and then as a hot spare. I get that these are "recertified", but still have a 2yr warranty and for the price, seems like they are pretty reasonable and even if I need to replace a few drives, it would still be cheaper than buying all new. They offer this drive at the same price in 512n, 512e, and 4kN versions. Based on what I read, it looks like I should prefer 4kN. Thoughts?

Those drives have a cost of $9.13/TB and would give me about 56TB of usable storage in a RAIDZ2 for a total cost of $895.16.

Anything wrong with this? Bumping to 64TB of storage (using 16TB drives) is an upgrade in cost to >$1,100. It actually looks more cost effective to jump from 14TB to 18TB. Dropping to 12TB drives only saves me about $90.

Are these Western Digital Ultrastar DC HC530 drives any good? They look consistently cheaper than the Seagate alternatives.
