Was interested in testing VMs in FreeNAS-9.10-MASTER-201704190613 (1ba77e4). But where are docs on current status? I've no idea what is, or is not supposed, to work from the webUI, so how do I carry out meaningful end-user testing?

Just a couple of things I found, and questions I have:

1. On a test system which already has zvols created by iohyve, when selecting device type of disk the zol dropbox shows existing zvols only. So is it correct that you have to create the zol you want to use via "storage" first?

2. Choosing to create a VM from this debian ISO firmware-8.7.1-amd64-netinst.iso seems to cause a core dump when attempting to boot with the UEFI-CSM loader.

Code:
[root@freenas] /# tail -f /var/log/messages
Apr 20 10:51:46 freenas kernel: tap1: link state changed to UP
Apr 20 11:12:56 freenas kernel: tap1: link state changed to DOWN
Apr 20 11:12:56 freenas kernel: tap1: link state changed to DOWN
Apr 20 11:34:48 freenas tap0: Ethernet address: 00:bd:24:2d:43:00
Apr 20 11:34:48 freenas kernel: tap0: promiscuous mode enabled
Apr 20 11:34:48 freenas kernel: tap0: link state changed to UP
Apr 20 11:34:48 freenas kernel: tap0: link state changed to UP
Apr 20 11:34:53 freenas kernel: pid 10870 (bhyve), uid 0: exited on signal 6 (core dumped)
Apr 20 11:34:53 freenas kernel: tap0: link state changed to DOWN
Apr 20 11:34:53 freenas kernel: tap0: link state changed to DOWN

3. Currently, the add device dialogue does not check if a zvol is already in use when adding more than one disk to a VM.

4. Are there any guides for end-users with some techical knowledge on where to look for logged messages in FreeNAS which might help re: bugs?

5. Is there a list of OS & ISOs which are currently runnable as VMs in the nightlies?

6. Am I correct in thinking the webUI invokes bhyve commands directly and neither iohyve or vm-bhyve are used? ( This appears to be the case when looking here: https://github.com/freenas/freenas/commit/7042ee7c5422eedf770799dbcb2a48ed63810b35)
