Standard Jail rename

Hi Guys,

Is it possible to rename a standard jail (not plugin), in freeNAS? I know it is possible in freebsd, but I'm unsure how things connect together for this peace in freenas so I don't want to break anything or create a disconnect between the GUI and console.

It can be done, it's not officially supported though. I've done it once and had no problems. I followed the steps from here: https://bugs.pcbsd.org/issues/2519

Thanks for this, its worked a treat:

- stop the jail.
- rename the zfs dataset with zfs rename.
- rename the .$jail.meta directory.
- update the hostname in .$jail.meta/host.
- inside the jail, update the hostname /etc/rc.conf and /etc/hosts.
- start jail again
