SOLVED SSH used to work, doesn't any more

Hello,

not sure what changed since I had it working last time, most likely system update (inside of 12.x version).
I would usually create keypairs, give the public key to the root, then set up ssh connection, select the private key...
It starts the connection up, I can input my credentials, but I get access denied.

Ideas why this isn't working?

Did you enable root access under the SSH service?

Are you running 12.x or 13.x?

If you mean "Log in as Root with Password", yes, it is checked.
Running 12.x.

OK, that was weird. I had to reset the password, even if setting the same one...???
