Hey guys, so sadly I had the misfortune of updating my system to freenas 10 so this is all on Corral. I have been using a chelsio spf+10g nic that has been working great on my c2750 board but I am trying to migrate over to a Supermicro X11SSH-CTF Motherboard and I am getting some funny reports in the CLI. Neither the on board Intel x550 nic or the chelsio that I had been using flawlessly seem to be showing up. With them plugged in I get the CLI but the CLI doesn't report a IP and when I query within the CLI for the IP it doesn't show up.
I am at a loss without IP access. I am not very familiar with CLI so if anyone can help me navigate to get the info needed for queries please include instructions for CLI. Reading previous upgrading motherboard posts most comments seem to circle around the NIC being unsupported but in this case it is a NIC that has been working so I don't think that is the problem. Thank you in advance for your advice.

What's keeping you on Corral? Can't you just rollback? If things were working, they should work again.

thats not exactly the problem. things were never working on this new MOB. Things were working on the old MOB in both 9.10 and 10. I will definitely switch back when I get the chance at somepoint. for now I just want to get an ip. but definitely agree with your point.

No worries. One of the many corollaries of Murphy's Law is that the answer to a question will become obvious right after asking it, before an answer is given. ;)

The new SPF cord
Unless you're using sunscreen for your networking (protip: bad idea), it's SFP.
