Hi,

I am following freeNAS closely since few years back. The only thing that holding me to switch from server 2012/2016 to freeNAS is SMB Multichannel support.

Can't afford switching to 10gbE yet but I can get 4x 1gbE nics for dirt cheap! Single gigabit link won't cut it... saturate fast on a single transfer.

Haven't read any news lately about SAMBA support... is it still experimental or ready for production? Any ETA?

Thank you very much!

A month or two ago, it was still experimental.

Genuine question... how do you guys work around 1GbE link for a NAS or it's just me that is too poor to switch to 10GbE hehe ?

LACP/LAG is limited under a single TCP session.

There is no workaround beyond upgrading to 10GbE.
