SMB Service will NOT start

I am thinking Version11.1-U4 is a little goofy. I'm running into little corky issues all over the place.

For one I can't even start the SMB service. I have even tried to start the service from the terminal and had no luck. Is anybody else having these issues?

Unfortunately, I switched over nas4free because I needed to get something up and running quickly. Although I do prefer FreeNAS as my go to NAS OS.

After doing some research I saw a couple other users were having the same issue.

What's fun is I'm actually running this on server grade hardware for once and running into this issue.

Had the same issue.
Disabling LDAP solve the SMB start problem...
But, hmmm ... I want LDAP !

ReEnabling LDAP killed SMB!

WooHoo! Not :(
