SMB SERVICE REMAINS OFF AFTER REBOOT

Hi

Frequently the SMB service turns to OFF. Sometimes after reboot even though it is ticked to start on boot is is STOPPED. The same thing happens to SMART, but only the SMB is annoying me at the moment, as have to restart it frequently - Once started it seems to be OK for about a week.

Using V 11.1-U3

Any ideas?

Does updating to U4 resolve it? If not, what is in /var/log/messages around the time the service stops?

Yes. I had the same problem, after updating it left.

Thanks for the tips. I also have issues rebooting into the U4 - so I did have another thread that was answered re that, so I will follow the advice and install U4 onto a new USB.
