SMB service failed to start

I had an issue with connecting to my share, and decided to turn off, then re-start the service.

I'm stuck

sorry, how do i output to a text file?!?

If you're using putty, you can just highlight the text and right-click in a document (or the web browser).

I was able to output the smdb into a text files ( i think) named sometextfile001.txt,at the root (i ran from the shell in FreeNAS)

I installed Putty but I get a network refused when running.

I'm not a Unix guy, so google is becoming my best friend....
