Hey
Today in the SMART test I had this message: "CRITICAL: March 4, 2018 04:33 - Device: / dev / ada3, Self-Test Log error count increased from 2 to 3"
And also ran smartctl -a / dev / ada3

Is the drive dead? Need a replacement? What does that mean?

Thanks Itay

Failing a conveyance test would indicate physical damage to the drive, there's really not much need to run one outside of initial drive testing to check for damage in a new drive.

You need to perform a long test on ada3 to see what the output from that is.

Do it through command? If so you can tell me what it is
Or you do it through the Tasks category?

Run the following from the CLI smartctl -t long /dev/ada3

Make sure you are running periodic short and long tests on your drives and keep an eye on them. Other than that everything looks OK with that drive as far as I can tell.

Why are you still running conveyance tests?

Ok thank you very much now I'm relaxed and will set up once a month checks on my drives.
But do you know why he says this problem if there's no problem at all? It's a bug maybe, or is it something else could be?

For something else, if you can answer: Can I replace one of my disks to another drive of a different size or I have to switch to the same size and I have to switch to another size I need to rebuild the RAID?
