Smart recursive test question

If you set your array to smart test, do you set it up so the hour, day, month options are additive or subtractive. In other words, if I want the test to go off at 5am on the 5th, if I get the day of week option to every day, will it add every day to the list of days it will scan, or will it only scan if all the criteria is met(day of month, time, day of week)?
