Hello,
I've been using FreeNAS for a little while and it's been working great. Thank you to the people who have created this product!

I use this as storage for a small VMware home lab. Not a lot of read/writes in a day and no need for high capacity, only need a couple hundred GB.
Storage is presented as iSCSI to a handful of ESXi hosts.
Original configuration was:
HP N40L with 8 GB of ECC ram.
FreeNAS installed on 32 GB SSD
2 x 1TB Seagate 7200 drives. mirrored.

Recently one of my drives died (4+ years old) and I decided to replace it with a couple small SSD's that I had around and a couple new SSD's.
New configuration is:
HP N40L with 8 GB of ECC ram. (same)
FreeNAS installed on 32 GB SSD (same)
2 x 120 GB Kingston SSD, striped (transient data)
2 x 480 GB Drevo SSD, mirrored

It appears the ARC size and ARC hit rate are lower with SDD's. This might be because the SSD's respond quicker, I'm not sure.
My question is ... are there any settings that I should make to optimize my new configuration?

Thank you in advance.

Sorry, yes it's 9.10.2.
Your link explains why I'm seeing 35 - 40% ARC cache hit now.
Thanks
