Slow Performance

Wassup Guys. I just installed Truenas in Hyper-V on a old pc I have. however when I try to upload something from my Mac I only gets 15MB/s or any other computer over the wifi but when I try to upload something from the host which is the the Pc tower I installed truenas on, I get 450MB/s easy… what u guys think causes that ? I’ve been struggling tryna get it to work. Please help a brother

Hyper-V doesn't work well. Please follow the guidance I've previously posted over at

You are comparing speeds on wifi and localhost, and expect wifi to get as fast as localhost? And also - those values ..... do you really mean 15 and 450 megabyte / s ? That's quite some speed for an old rig.

Follow the link @jgreco posted, and if that doesn't help, then post some more details about your hardware

I was tryna use Virtual Box but it was kinda complicated for me that’s y I did hyper-V… I’ll go ahead and tryna later today then give y’all an update

As noted in the linked article,

Things like VirtualBox, VMware Fusion, VMware Workstation, etc. are not acceptable.

This has not changed in the last ten years.

Okay got u… to get the speed that I need I’ll have to perform a clean install. I didn’t want to Loose my windows pro key… thanks bro, appreciate it.
